A.Y.D.F is a Non-governmental organization founded in 2011 and registered in 2013 as a community based organization working with street children in the slums of Mengo Kisenyi in Kampala district the capital of Uganda up to 2015 September registered as a Nun-Governmental Organization under registered number , S.5914/11964
The kids are between 8 and 16 years old. Some of them ran away from home, b

ecause the parents could not take care for them. Others are orphans. The children sleep on the streets and earn some money by recycling empty bottles. Many of them start in young age using drugs. Their life is dominated by police violence, diseases and the daily fight to survive. A.Y.D.F rehabilitate the children bring them away from the streets into saver life circumstances. The Founder of A.Y.D.F Moses Daniel himself grew up in the streets of Kampala. The deep experience of his own youth as a street child and the big fortune of getting help in this desperate situation motivated him to found A.Y.D.F. Most of the other helpers form A.Y.D.F are also former street children. Their knowledge and experience guarantees a very good and intense connection to the children. The work of A.YD.F consists of providing weekly food, hygienic minimum standards and taking health care. To bring the children away from their homelessness A.Y.D.F teaches them basic skills to fulfill a job.A.Y.D.F provide life skills like Art and Crafts shoes making project . The children produce earrings and necklaces to sell them and to run the project. Right now A.Y.D.F has 10 to 12 children in its custody. A.Y.D.F gives them the hope to survive the street life by opening their own business. With establishing a own company, A.Y.D.F seeks for a financial basis to develop further help projects. In future A.Y.D.F plans to host the children in a youth hostel to control their life and give them a home. A.Y.D.F plans to pay the rent and daily costs by opening up a own company. This should set up a starting point for future projects:
A.Y.D.F pays for the school fees for the children, so they can go to a daily or a boarding school. A.Y.D.F resettles them in their old village and brings them back to their parents. If the parents can`t effort A.Y.D.F supports the parents to pay the school fees. While A.Y.D.F hosts them, A.Y.D.F offers them a vocational training in businesses like barber, mechanic and tailor - so that the elder children can open up their own businesses.
