UIA was founded in 1965 by Insurance companies to promote the development and expansion of sound Insurance and reinsurance activities in Uganda. Association currently enjoys a thirty Seven (37) company strong membership. Of these, thirty three (33) are insurance companies and one (04) reinsurance companies. Our members in 2021 include:

Earlier today, we engaged with a delegation from Zimbabwe’s insurance sector alongside the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) of Uganda as part of a benchmarking visit focused on knowledge sharing and exchange of industry experiences.

The engagement provided an opportunity to share insights and strengthen collaboration across the insurance sector.
