Exercising our social responsibility to children especially the abandoned, the neglected, street children and the oppressed, such as the orphans and abused children who are in dire need for help and as a way support their nurturing, education and other abilities, so as to reduce on poverty levels in the world especially in the developing countries, and this is in tandem with Millennium Development
Goals 1, 2 and 6 among others;
Being aware that, children hold our tomorrow and so we need to preserve and develop them and with them develop our society, instilling in them morals that will help them to be able leaders who will display acts of love to all humanity without segregation and division-ism. Knowing that, according to the article (34), clause (5) of the Uganda Constitution of 1995 and as amended 2006, children shall be persons under the age of sixteen years. And this is the most widely accepted definition of children. Cognizant of the existing and relevant applicable laws, especially the constitution of the Republic of Uganda that guarantees children’s rights and freedoms to organizations as a means of improving conditions so as to grow and develop into useful people in future that effectively contribute to the society,therefore, we the members of Oasis of God’s Love (OGL), do voluntarily agree to abide by the following Constitution and by-laws, which we believe will enable us to legally follow and fulfill the needs of the society and the world of children by becoming a body of people filled with compassion and love to serve and save the children of our country and of other nations throughout the world.
