Building Uganda’s Innovation Ecosystem for a Digital Future

Technology is becoming the infrastructure of entrepreneurship shaping how ideas are developed, businesses are built, markets are reached and solutions scale.

Startup Uganda and Datamellon Limited have partnered to strengthening Uganda’s innovation ecosystem through technology, digital tools, technical capacity and knowledge sharing.

The partnership will create opportunities for founders, innovation support organisations and ecosystem actors to better understand and harness technologies such as AI, cloud, data and digital platforms from idea validation and prototyping to deployment and scale.

While direct technical support will be provided to selected startups, the broader ambition is to build ecosystem-wide technology readiness, creating stronger pathways for innovation to move from ideas into scalable solutions.

Together, Datamellon and Startup Uganda are investing in an ecosystem that is not only ready to adopt the tools of the future, but is equipped to build with them and shape what comes next.

We interacted NITA-Uganda to explore how we can make   even more connected, accessible and impactful, and we have some exciting news!

She urged founders to keep curious and on the look out for these programs as government and its related agencies intensify their awareness efforts.
