Internship Opportunity with New Energy Nexus Uganda!

New Energy Nexus Uganda seeks dedicated interns to join our PURE (Productive Use of Renewable Energy) project. Our PURE project focuses on increasing access to PURE technologies like solar irrigation pumps, dryers, and milling machines. We aim to boost productivity, reduce food waste (currently at a staggering 50%), mitigate CO2 emissions, and extend the shelf life of produce for farmers in off-grid communities in Northern Uganda

As a PURE intern, you will:

Support the implementation of PURE (Productive Use of Renewable Energy) solutions in smallholder farming communities.
Assist in conducting field assessments, farmer training sessions, and cooperative engagement activities.
Work closely with partners and cooperatives to gather data on energy adoption and productivity improvements.
Assist in organizing agricultural demonstrations, community outreach, and awareness campaigns.
Document farmer feedback, success stories, and challenges to improve program effectiveness.
Support monitoring and evaluation efforts by collecting and analyzing field data.
Collaborate with technology suppliers, cooperatives, and project teams to ensure effective delivery of PURE solutions.
Internship Details:

Duration: 3 months
Location: Northern Uganda
Focus: Supporting the implementation of the PURE project, including farmer onboarding, training, and project support.

Requirements: Diploma in Agriculture or a related field.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - EARN AN INCENTIVE FOR SELLING CLEAN ENERGY PRODUCTS IN YOUR COMMUNITY

New Energy Nexus Uganda equips Community organizations – Community-Based Organizations(CBOs) , Village Savings and Loans Associations(VSLAs), and Agricultural cooperatives with entrepreneurship skills to become rural distributors of clean energy products by enabling them to start clean energy enterprises in rural Uganda. We also provide these clean energy entrepreneurs with financing, 1:1 business coaches, mentorship, and coaching. New Energy Nexus Uganda is excited to announce the launch of our Results-Based Financing (RBF) Project! We're looking to partner with CBOs, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), and Agricultural Cooperatives that have been selling clean energy products like solar home kits, and improved cookstoves for over a year and are passionate about distributing clean and affordable energy technologies.

🔍 Are you a CBO, VSLA, and Agricultural Cooperative with:

Over 12 months of experience in selling clean energy products in an off-grid community
A track record in clean energy distribution?
A commitment to empowering hard-to-reach communities?
Registration certificate for your organization
An experienced team
A detailed plan on how you will be able to sell more products
A bank account for the organization
Ability to host a mentor and coach to support you for three months
Willingness to attend a two-day training
Willingness to provide sales data using our recommended tools
