Rotary Vijana Poa is an initiative of DG Robert Nsibirwa (District 9211- UG & TZ) and the vision is

Rotary Vijana Poa is a broad based youthful project that is meant to mobilize, inspire and empower youth to engage them into work and realize their potential thereby curbing the increasing unemployment levels in Uganda and Tanzania. We aim at providing youth with employable skills to enable those who seek employment and entrepreneur skills to enable them to create and innovate, and professionalize their businesses for self-sustainability. We will use inspirational and motivational talks from successful entrepreneurs to inspire youth start-ups thereby keeping them alive, professionalizing them, sustaining them and growing them. Rotary Vijana Poa brings together change agents and well-wishers from the rotary fraternity to help youth to be able to develop their skills, talents and abilities enabling them to create more jobs and employment opportunities for other youth. We will provide internship to unemployed youth in different companies/NGO, train them in different skills and either employ them or assist them to start up their own initiatives. We will also act as a source of information, mentoring and coaching, monitoring, capacity building and participation in different community initiatives to improve the well being of youth and their communities

We are excited to announce a new partnership between Community Women Enterprise Network Uganda Limited (CWEN) and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) through its Nutrition Impact at Scale (NIS) project! Together, we are embarking on an impactful project on Integrating Nutrition and Market Systems for Sustainable Growth.

This project aims to create a transformative change in Uganda's nutritional and economic landscape by integrating nutrition perspectives into market development. It will be implemented in seven key districts ie Kampala, Luweero, Mukono, Buikwe, Lira, Gulu, and Wakiso where we shall closely work with 100 SMEs in the fish, fruits(pineapples), legumes(peanuts and soybean) value chains. By strengthening support, we aim to enhance local value chains, making nutritious food more accessible to communities while creating sustainable livelihoods for women and youth SMEs engaged in agribusiness, smallholder farmers, and vulnerable communities.
As we kick off, we are accepting submissions from SMEs in the different districts of implementation.
