🚨 When floods cut off roads and health centers in Ntoroko, how do mothers and babies get care?
Our latest TRAC FM SMS poll run by Faith for Family Health initiative(3FHi) under Uzazi Salama) asked over 2,249 people across Rwenzori:
“What should be done to keep maternal & child health services going during floods?”
Top responses:
✅ 40% → Temporary/mobile clinics right in the community
✅ 23% → Helplines for information & referrals
✅ 21% → Train & equip VHTs & traditional birth attendants
✅ 16% → Provide transport for health workers #
Communities are saying clearly: Bring services closer, keep communication open, and empower first responders.
Through Uzazi Salama, 3FHi is listening — and acting: planning more outreach clinics, building toll-free hotlines/SMS systems, strengthening VHT/TBA networks, and pushing for emergency transport solutions.
Because no mother or baby should be left without care when floods strike.
