Stepping into the world of work can be exciting — and a little overwhelming.

Recently, over 70 young women and men supported by SIEG joined our School-to-Work Transition Workshop in Mukono, where we explored practical skills for the workplace: building strong CVs, preparing for interviews, elevator pitches, gender confidence, professional boundaries, personal financial planning, professional communication and much more.

The conversations were real, the energy was inspiring, and the confidence in the room was powerful.

At FAWE Uganda, we believe education is just the beginning — supporting young people to successfully transition into the world of work is just as important.

The future of work is calling. Our girls and boys are ready. 💛

💜 20,000 UGX can change a girl’s future!

Too many girls in Uganda drop out of school because of lack of financial support — not lack of ability.

With just UGX 20,000 or more, you can help a girl stay in school, finish secondary education, and build a better future. Educating a girl strengthens families, reduces early marriages, and breaks the cycle of poverty.

Be part of the transformation.

FAWE Uganda Strengthens Families and Schools through the VACIS Project

FAWE Uganda’s Executive Director,Susan Opok Tumusiime, alongside our Head of Programs, Joseph Adiama, recently conducted a monitoring and support supervision visit for the VACIS Project (Community Action to End Violence Against Children) in the Rwenzori sub-region.

The visit focused on tracking the implementation of Skilful Parenting and the Good School Toolkit, key components of the project aimed at preventing violence against children.

Key insights from parenting groups and schools:

• Improved family relationships and stronger parent-child bonds

• Better communication within households

• Joint support for children’s education

• Adoption of positive discipline measures by teachers

These early results highlight how empowering parents and schools can transform family dynamics, improve school environments, and create safer, more supportive spaces for children to thrive.

The VACIS Project continues to champion child protection, education, and community engagement, ensuring every child grows up in a safe and nurturing environment.
