Rising Hope Foundation is a charitable organization facilitating comprehensive youth educational and mentorship programs within communities in Uganda. It was founded as a result of childhood experiences of Edidah M Tumwebaze who like many African children, grew up in abject poverty and deprivation. Being part of a polygamous family, cultural hindrances of a girl child and lack of most of the basic
necessities did not hinder Edidah from attaining a decent education, an opportunity she longs to extend to the other children still walking the same road she walked. Rising Hope Foundation is based on plot 4778, Nyanama Road Zanna and focuses on serving the youth in different parts of Uganda. As a pioneer project, Rising Hope Foundation is focusing its energy to serving the youth within schools in Kyabugimbi, Bushenyi district, an area that has for long had a reputation of being ‘inside a locked cupboard due to the historic remoteness of the area.
