منذ زمن طويل، ظل الشباب في الجمعية السودانية لحماية البيئة جزءاً أصيلاً من مسيرة العمل والإصلاح البيئي.

لم نكن يوماً ننتظر من الشباب طاقاتهم فقط، بل نؤمن بأنهم فئة تمتلك المعرفة والخبرة والقدرة على المبادرة، واتخاذ المواقف الجريئة من أجل حماية كوكبنا ومستقبلنا.

اليوم، نحتفي بكل شاب وشابة من أعضاء الجمعية، ومتطوعين والعاملين معنا، وبكل ما يقدمونه من وقت وجهد وأفكار في سبيل البيئة والمجتمع.
لكم منا كل الامتنان والفخر… ونرفع قبعاتنا احتراماً لكل شاب يختار أن يكون جزءاً من التغيير. 🌍🌱

World Youth Day

For a long time, youth have been an integral part of the journey of environmental action and reform within the Sudanese Environment Conservation Society (SECS).

We have never viewed youth merely as a source of energy rather, we believe they possess the knowledge, expertise, capability to take initiative, and the courage to make bold stances to protect our planet and our future.
Today, we celebrate every young man and woman our members, volunteers, and staff and everything they contribute in terms of time, effort, and ideas for the sake of the environment and society.
You have our utmost gratitude and pride... We tip our hats in respect to every young person who chooses to be part of the change. 🌍🌱

‎الجمعية السودانية لحماية البيئة تنشط لجان الإنذار المبكر المجتمعية بالقضارف

‎نظمت الجمعية السودانية لحماية البيئة بالشراكة مع منظمة العون الكنسي النرويجي NCA وعبر مشروع التكيف مع التغيرات المناخية وحماية البيئة اجتماعاً دوريًا لتنشيط لجان الإنذار المبكر المجتمعية، وذلك يوم الإثنين الموافق 3 أغسطس 2026* بمقر وحدة الإنذار المبكر بوزارة الإنتاج والموارد الاقتصادية بالولاية.

‎وجاء الاجتماع تحت رعاية المهندس عمار عبد الله سليمان المدير العام لوزارة الإنتاج والموارد الاقتصادية والوزير المكلف وكامل عضوية وحدة الإنذار المبكر بالوزارة، إلى جانب ١٢ من أعضاء لجان الإنذار المبكر المجتمعية بالمشروع وممثلين لمديرى الإدارات الزراعية بمحليتي القلابات الغربية ووسط القضارف وممثل من هيئة الإرصاد الجوي.

‎هدف الاجتماع الي تنشيط وتفعيل دور لجنة الإنذار المبكر المجتمعية وبناء قدرتها وربطها بوحدة الإنذار المبكر على مستوى الولاية وتفعيل عملية نقل أخبار الطقس بصورة متبادلة يومياً.

The Sudanese Environment Conservation Society Activates Community Early Warning Committees in Gedaref

The Sudanese Environment Conservation Society in partnership with Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and through the Climate Change Adaptation and Environmental Protection Project organized a periodic meeting to activate community early warning committees. The event took place on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Early Warning Unit headquarters within the State Ministry of Production and Economic Resources.
The meeting was held under the patronage of Engineer Ammar Abdullah Suleiman, Director General of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources and Acting Minister, along with the full membership of the Ministry's Early Warning Unit. It was also attended by 12 members of the project's community early warning committees, representatives of agricultural department directors from the Gallabat Al-Gharbiyya and Central Gedaref localities, and a representative from the Meteorological Authority.

The meeting aimed to activate and enhance the role of the community early warning committee, build its capacity, link it to the state-level early warning unit, and streamline the daily, two way exchange of weather updates.

رحلة النجاح والاستدامة في قرية القدمبلية

بخطوات ثابتة وإرادة صلبة، تثبت المرأة السودانية دائماً أنها ركيزة أساسية للتنمية والاعتماد على الذات.
استمرت مجموعة من النساء المبدعات في قرية القدمبلية في إنتاج المطورة/المواقد المحسنة
بكل كفاءة واحترافية بعد إكمامهن لتدريب متخصص في هذا المجال ، هذا التدريب جاء ضمن مشروع بناء القدرات والتكيف مع التغير المناخي (CCA&ES)، الذي تنفذه جمعية السودانية لحماية البيئة (SECS) بالشراكة مع العون الكنسي النرويجي (NCA).

لم يقتصر نجاحهن على الإنتاج فحسب، بل شاركن بفخر وعرضن منتجاتهن المتميزة في معرض ديوان الزكاة الذي أقيم في منطقة القدمبلية بمحلية وسط القضارف ، هذه المشاركة تعكس جودة المنتجات وقدرتها على المنافسة وتلبية احتياجات المجتمع المحلي.

الاستقرار والاستدامة تبدآن دائماً بخطوات ثابتة نحو التمكين الحقيقي
نفتخر بهذا النموذج المشرف للنساء اللاتي حولن التدريب إلى فرصة حقيقية للإنتاج المستدام وتحسين سبل العيش.

The Journey of Success and Sustainability in Al-Qadambaliya Village

With steady steps and a resolute will, the Sudanese woman consistently proves to be an essential pillar of development and self-reliance. A group of creative women in Al-Qadambaliya village have continued to produce improved stoves with high efficiency and professionalism after completing specialized training in this field. This training came as part of the Capacity Building and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA&ES) project, implemented by the Sudanese Environment Conservation Society (SECS) in partnership with Norwegian Church Aid (NCA).

Their success was not limited to production alone; they also proudly participated and showcased their outstanding products at the Zakat Chamber exhibition held in the Al-Qadambaliya area within central Gedaref Locality. This participation reflects the quality of the products and their ability to compete and meet the needs of the local community.

Stability and sustainability always begin with steady steps toward true empowerment. We are proud of this honorable model of women who have turned training into a real opportunity for sustainable production and livelihood improvement.

فرصة تدريب عملي للشباب و الشابات

مشروع التعاون في حوض النيل لتحقيق الصمود المناخي (NCCR)

يعلن منبر حوض النيل (NBD) عن فتح باب التقديم لبرنامج التدريب العملي للشباب، لتعزيز دورهم في إدارة الموارد المائية، والحد من مخاطر الفيضانات والجفاف، وبناء شبكة تواصل بين المجتمعات المحلية وصناع القرار في المنطقة.

المؤهلات المطلوبة:

- بكالوريوس في (إدارة الموارد المائية، الهندسة المائية، العلوم البيئية، التغير المناخي، أو الدراسات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية).
- ⁠إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية (قراءة، كتابة، ومحادثة).
- ⁠اهتمام بالعمل المجتمعي، مهارات بحثية وتحليلية، وإجادة استخدام الحاسوب ووسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.

Practical Training Opportunity for Youth

Nile Basin Climate Resilient Cooperation Project (NCCR)
The Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) announces the opening of applications for the youth practical training program, aimed at enhancing their role in water resource management, reducing flood and drought risks, and building a communication network between local communities and decision-makers in the region.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Water Resources Management, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, or Economic and Social Studies.
• Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Interest in community work, research and analytical skills, and proficiency in using computers and social media.

في إطار الجهود الرامية لمواجهة التغيرات المناخية ودعم سبل كسب العيش، انطلقت بقرية ود ضعيف بمحلية القلابات الغربية فعاليات مشروع الزراعة المختلطة الذي تنفذه الجمعية السودانية لحماية البيئة بتمويل من العون الكنسي النرويجي، ليستهدف مساحة إجمالية تبلغ 20 فداناً موزعة على قرى ود ضعيف وكساب وكسجراء وأبو النجا، بواقع خمسة أفدنة لكل قرية عبر زراعة شتول الهشاب والطلح وبذور الفول السوداني، فضلاً عن إنتاج البذور المحسنة في منطقتي كجراء وغريقانة على مساحة عشرة أفدنة.

أوضحت المهندسة الزراعية تغريد علي صديق
"أن المبادرة تستهدف المناطق التي شهدت مؤشرات واضحة لتدهور الغطاء الشجري، بهدف تبصير المزارعين بأهمية إدخال الأشجار في الأنظمة الزراعية لتحسين خصوبة التربة وتوفير مصدات الرياح وزيادة الدخل، مشيدةً بالتفاعل المجتمعي الكبير والإقبال الواسع للمزارعين والمزارعات الذين يمثلون الشركاء الأساسيين في إنجاح واستدامة هذه الجهود البيئية".

As part of the efforts aimed at addressing climate change and supporting livelihoods, activities for the mixed farming project have been launched in the village of Wad Daeef, in the Western Gallabat locality. The project is implemented by the Sudanese Environment Conservation Society (SECS) Funded by Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), targeting a total area of 20 feddans distributed across the villages of Wad Daeef, Kassab, Kisjra, and Abu Al-Nija, at 5 feddans per village, through the planting of gum arabic (hashab) and talh saplings, alongside peanut seeds, in addition to producing improved seeds in the areas of Kisjra and Ghuraikana across an area of 10 feddans.

Agricultural engineer Taghreed Ali Siddiq explained:
"The initiative targets areas that have witnessed clear indicators of vegetation cover degradation, with the aim of raising farmers' awareness about the importance of integrating trees into agricultural systems to improve soil fertility, provide windbreaks and shade, and increase income.She praised the significant community interaction and the wide turnout of male and female farmers, who represent the primary partners in the success and sustainability of these environmental efforts”.

جهود متواصلة لتعزيز الأمن البيئي والمعيشي بالنيل الأزرق 🌿

نفذت الجمعية السودانية لحماية البيئة (فرع النيل الأزرق) مسحاً ميدانياً شاملاً بمرافقة تيم الحياة البرية بمحليتي ود الماحي والروصيرص.
يأتي هذا العمل ضمن مشروع تعزيز الأمن الغذائي ومرونة المجتمعات الريفية داخل وحول محمية الدندر القومية ، بالشراكة مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة (UNEP) وبتمويل من الاتحاد الأوروبي (EU)، لتطبيق برنامج التحليل الاقتصادي وتقييم مؤشر الفقر (MPI) في عدد من القرى المستهدفة.

Continuous efforts to enhance environmental and livelihood security in Blue Nile 🌿

The Sudanese Environment Conservation Society (Blue Nile Branch) has carried out a comprehensive field survey accompanied by the Wildlife Team in the localities of Wad Al-Mahi and Roseires.
This work comes as part of the project to enhance food security and the resilience of rural communities in and around Dinder National Park, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and funded by the European Union (EU), to implement the Household Economic Analysis and Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) assessment in a number of targeted villages.
