Malaria Think Tank Uganda

Malaria Think Tank Uganda The Malaria Think Tank acts as a support and resource for malaria education and activities for Peace Corps Volunteers and stakeholders.

Uganda is hyper-endemic for malaria, with over 90% of the population in high malaria areas. It is estimated that each year, over 100,000 deaths occur as a result of malaria infections. In response to this crisis, Peace Corps is joining multi-sectoral efforts to eradicate malaria in Uganda. The Malaria Think Tank (MTT) was formed in 2012 as a structured environment to inform Peace Corps (PC) malari

a program activities, develop and deliver malaria trainings, and facilitate interactions with various stakeholders. In Uganda, this body is composed of currently serving Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs), with advisory roles performed by PC program staff, a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV), and Global Health Seed Project (GHSP) Volunteers.
