At Viva con Agua Uganda, we believe menstrual hygiene is a human right — not a privilege. 💙

This , we’re turning that belief into action.

📍 On 28th May 2026, we’ll be at St. Francis P/S – Kabagezi for a day dedicated to empowering girls and promoting dignity under this year’s global theme:
✨ Together for a — Ending Shame, Ensuring Dignity for Every Girl.

Here’s what’s planned:
✅ Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Sessions
✅ Tour of the VCA MHM Changing Room
✅ Hygiene Kit Distribution
✅ Fun Games & Activities for the Girls

This is what community-centred action looks like — creating safe spaces, restoring dignity, and ensuring no girl is left behind.

We’re proud to show up. And we’re just getting started. 💧

Pads made by girls, for girls 💙✨

This , we’re celebrating confidence, creativity, and a little bit of magic in the classroom 🌍✂️🧵

Through our school sessions, girls are learning how to make reusable sanitary pads using simple local materials — turning skills into confidence and periods into powerful conversations.

Because every girl deserves to feel safe, proud, and unstoppable during her period 💪🏾🩸

One stitch at a time, we’re building a where girls stay in school, thrive, and lead change in their communities.

Let’s keep sharing, learning, and breaking the stigma together ✨

💧 All In For Water. Always.

129 friends, partners & changemakers. 1 day. 1 mission.

On April 24th, we gathered in Bukoto for our Network Meeting — Building Water Communities — and the energy in the room said it all. 🙏

Testimonials from the ground. Art on the walls. Beatboxing, dance, freestyle WASH battles, and real talk about what it means to fight for water as a human right.

To every organisation and friend that showed up — THANK YOU. You are the community we are building. 💙

We’re all about building strong water communities—and that means showing up for our people 💧💙

Last month at Echoes of Her Silence show, our facilitator shared a powerful story through dance highlighting the silent struggles many girls face, but also the strength to rise above them.

We added a fun session to break myths, create safe conversations, and shared sanitary pads with participants—because dignity matters.

Through our playful UL4C approach, we’ll be hosting an engaging MHM session to spark open conversations around menstrual health, trauma, myths, and beliefs during the Echoes of Her Silence show, happening tomorrow at TLC-Kamwokya.

This is more than an event. It is a step toward building stronger, informed, and empowered communities.

By blending art and WASH, we’re creating safe spaces for dialogue, breaking stigma, and supporting girls and young women to manage their menstrual health with dignity, while strengthening our connection with the Kamwokya community for lasting impact.

This 💧we’re celebrating with action!

At Viva con Agua Uganda, we’re bringing 2 mini solar-powered water systems to 2 schools in Wakiso districts, serving over 2000 learners and their communities because safe water should be reliable, sustainable, and accessible.

Why solar?
✨ More efficient – multiple tap stands, less waiting
✨ Reliable – fewer breakdowns
✨ Climate-friendly – powered by the sun
✨ Community impact – benefits beyond the school

Clean water, powered by clean energy = a brighter future 🌍💙
