📢 Call for Proposals

The European Union invites Civil Society Organisations in Tanzania to submit proposals under the call:

“Strengthening Civil Society for Risk Mitigation and Dialogue in Support of EU–Tanzania Economic Cooperation.”

This call aims to strengthen the role of civil society in supporting dialogue, stability, and cooperation between the EU and Tanzania while implementing the EU Global Gateway strategy.

The focus areas include:

📌 Critical minerals
📌 Agricultural value chains
📌 Digitalisation

🗓️ Deadline for concept notes:

7 May 2026 at 12:00 (Brussels time)

Call for Nominations: Africa Civil a society Resilience Awards 2025

The Transformative Leaders Network-Africa together with partners is organizing an annual Africa Civil Society Resilience (ACSOR) Awards Ceremony 2025 to be held in Kampala Uganda on the second and Final Day of the Annual African Civil Society Summit that will take place in Kampala Uganda from the 30th to the 31st October 2025.

The aim of the awards is to recognise and appreciate civil society organisations making significant contributions to the socio-economic development in Africa amid growing legal, social, financial and political challenges among others.

As such the call for nominations is now open.

Our Story

TRANET -Africa is a leading national youth led and focused membership and network organization that works to mainstream young peoples’ engagement in socioeconomic development and governance processes in Uganda and Africa.

TRANET -Africa was started in 2008 with a vision of a society where the leadership upholds the ideals of social justice and gender equality and set out on a mission to build a strong cadre of young leaders who promote gender equality and social justice through capacity building, advocacy, net-working and research.

Since her establishment, TRANET-Africa set out to spread the gospel of alternative and transformative leadership, Gender equality, and social justice including empowering youth especially young women to take up entrepreneurship and leadership roles in society. TRANET- Africa is currently actively engaged in democracy, governance, accountability, entrepreneurship, civic education, sensitization, leadership advocacy and charity activities.

Since its inception, TRANET- Africa has been positioning the youth to play a leading role in nation building by enhancing their visibility in policy, governance and socioeconomic development processes in Uganda and across Africa and at a global level.
