Our Story
TRANET -Africa is a leading national youth led and focused membership and network organization that works to mainstream young peoples’ engagement in socioeconomic development and governance processes in Uganda and Africa.
TRANET -Africa was started in 2008 with a vision of a society where the leadership upholds the ideals of social justice and gender equality and set out on a mission to build a strong cadre of young leaders who promote gender equality and social justice through capacity building, advocacy, net-working and research.
Since her establishment, TRANET-Africa set out to spread the gospel of alternative and transformative leadership, Gender equality, and social justice including empowering youth especially young women to take up entrepreneurship and leadership roles in society. TRANET- Africa is currently actively engaged in democracy, governance, accountability, entrepreneurship, civic education, sensitization, leadership advocacy and charity activities.
Since its inception, TRANET- Africa has been positioning the youth to play a leading role in nation building by enhancing their visibility in policy, governance and socioeconomic development processes in Uganda and across Africa and at a global level.
