We are proud to celebrate our founder, Miriam Feza Grace R , on her selection into the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency Innovation Fellowship 2026 🎉

Out of 224 applicants, only 80 Fellows were selected globally to join this year’s cohort.

This cohort brings together changemakers from across the humanitarian ecosystem:
• Just over 50% from UNHCR
• Around 30% from NGOs and UN partner organizations
• About 20% from other UN agencies
• And only 4 participants from refugee-led organizations worldwide

Miriam’s selection is a powerful recognition of her commitment to innovation, learning, and building solutions grounded in lived experience.

Through this fellowship, she will continue to strengthen practical innovation skills, test ideas in real-world contexts, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and experimentation within the humanitarian sector.

Looking back at where Cosmo Foundation started reminds me why we do this work. We began with a simple belief: that refugee and marginalized youth have talent, ideas, and leadership, but often lack access to opportunity.
Today, Cosmo is growing into an ecosystem where young people are not just supported, but empowered to build ventures, generate income, and solve real problems in their communities. As we reflect on how far we’ve come, we remain focused on shaping a future built on dignity, ownership, and local leadership.
