The youth of this time of age have a lot of issues that are mostly specific to their ages and they are being stimulated by the dynamic changes in time and technology. It is now possible for people in different regions to communicate in a flash and share videos and audio files in real time. This possibility raises an all-time question, how can all this platforms be used to provoke positive change i
n the world involving the youth? It is in this light that the YOUTH PATCH campaign was initiated with intent of connecting the young people of east Africa and the world at large in a single online network framework to share ideas, experiences, strategies to change the world to be a better place where meaningful youth involvement is not just an idea but a reality. It is a youth-led and youth initiated project and all youths of the world. The initial campaign was conceptualized by the collaboration of two youth networks from two countries namely Youth peer education network in Kenya (Y-PEER KENYA) and Uganda network of young people living with AIDS (UNYPA).The YOUTH PATCH campaign is not to be owned by these two networks but all the youth networks and groups who do join in the campaign can take ownership and represent the mandate of the campaign in their respective countries.
