President Museveni Visits Buseesa Demonstration Farm to Launch 4-Acre Model Initiati
On Saturday, 20th September 2025, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda, visited Buseesa Demonstration Farm as part of the Phase II rollout of the Presidential 4-Acre Model Campaign in Bunyoro region.

During his visit, President Museveni officially launched the farm as the Buseesa 4-Acre Model Farm by laying a foundation stone. He toured key sections of the farm, including the piggery, poultry units, dairy cattle, rabbitry, sack-mountain gardens, and biogas system.

The president also inspected several farm products such as eggs, animal and poultry feeds (including broken maize and silage), as well as the machinery used for feed production.

Buseesa Demonstration Farm, nestled in the heart of Buseesa Trading Centre (Kasalaba), Matale Sub County, Kibaale District, was honored to host Hon. Fred Byamukama during his recent visit.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Honourable Minister for taking time to tour our facility, as well as to the distinguished team that accompanied him — the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Assistant RDC, District Police Officer (DPO), Matale Sub County Extension Worker, and the Sub County Chief. Busesa Community Development Organization Participates in the 2025 World Aquaculture Safari

The World Aquaculture Society’s Aquaculture Africa Conference (AFRAQ25) took place from 24–27 June 2025 at Speke Resort, Munyonyo, in the heart of Kampala, Uganda.

Under the theme “Aquaculture on the Rise,” this year’s event shone a spotlight on the strategies and initiatives driving aquaculture growth across Sub-Saharan Africa.

It’s no coincidence that Uganda – Africa’s third-largest aquaculture producer – hosted the event. The conference was officially opened by the Vice President of Uganda, H.E Jessica Alupo, underscoring the nation’s commitment to the sector. Read More here
