As we enter a new season, I’ve been reflecting on why we join groups and keep contacts. What’s the point of being connected if we can’t support each other when called upon, or even acknowledge each other’s posts?

Groups and contacts should be about looking out for one another. So starting now, let’s be that colleague, that partner, that friend who shows up. Let’s support, uplift, and rise together.

Policy in Action. Voices in Motion.
On October 10th, student leaders at Kampala University Ggaba joined forces with My People and Culture Gender Advocacy Peers to push for stronger policies that protect girls’ rights and promote gender equality in education.

From bold pledges to powerful dialogue, the energy was unstoppable.
🎙️ Special thanks to Joan AMITO, Advocacy & Communications Consultant at FIDA Uganda, who responded to a GIMAC Young Women’s WhatsApp call — and showed up to inspire a generation of changemakers.

Together, we launched a student-led Gender Equality Taskforce, activated our campaign banner, and called on university leadership to commit to safer, more inclusive schools.
