Menstrual health is more than distributing pads.

It is about giving girls the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to manage their periods safely and with dignity.

In Arua, SYRADO created a safe space for young girls to learn about menstrual hygiene, openly discuss the challenges they face, and gain hands-on skills in making reusable sanitary pads. We also supported them with Rozy Pads to improve access to quality menstrual products.

When we educate a girl, equip her with skills, and ensure she has access to the right products, we are not just addressing menstruation — we are investing in her confidence, education, health, and future.

Menstrual Health Literacy in Arua!

Today, SYRADO, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Manyangwa Nakwero, reached 248 girls with menstrual health education, practical training on making reusable pads, and free Rozy Pads.

RozyPads are reusable menstrual pads designed to provide girls with a safe, comfortable, affordable and sustainable option for managing their periods.

Through this activity, we promoted knowledge, confidence, period dignity and practical skills—because menstrual health is about more than pads; it is about ensuring every girl can manage her period safely and without shame.
