As 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗢𝗷𝗼𝗸 𝗢𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗮𝗵, MP, Omoro County and Chairperson, Parliamentary Committee on ICT & National Guidance, puts it, “𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘼𝙄, 𝙄 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙐𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙡 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚.” For Uganda, that means using AI to raise productivity, strengthen enterprise competitiveness and expand domestic production in line with NDP IV.

Together with 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗣 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 through #𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗔𝗜, we are doing the foundational work across Northern Uganda, building the AI talent that will drive Uganda’s industries, enterprises and next phase of growth.

Every industrial era creates a new infrastructure imperative. For Uganda, the next phase of industrialisation will increasingly be shaped by compute, connectivity, research and talent, and by how effectively we translate these capabilities into productivity, innovation and new industries.

Our partnership with 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗨 sits within that larger national agenda: strengthening the foundations needed to build, deploy and scale AI, and ultimately expand Uganda’s productive capacity in an increasingly intelligence-driven global economy.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲

As AI reshapes economies, institutions and opportunities, access cannot remain concentrated in a few cities, schools or communities.

With 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗣 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 through #𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗔𝗜, we have reached over 5,000 students across more than 30 schools in Northern Uganda.

This is our generation’s responsibility to the next.

𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗷𝗮 | 𝗚𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲

Karamoja reminds us what this work really takes. Reaching young people here means covering long distances, working through limited internet connectivity and finding ways around the shortage of computers.

So we carry what we need with us: computers, equipment and the tools required to make the training happen.

Our partnership with UNDP Uganda through the ongoing programme goes beyond delivering AI education; it mandates us to go the extra mile, taking it beyond where access is easiest.
