Kawempe Youth Centre Uganda Building Literate Communities

Kawempe Youth Centre was established in 2002 as a Non-Government Organization operating in the the informal settlements of Kawempe division occupied by approximately 290,500 people. We work so as to build literate communities through provision of education and information services in collaboration with other community youth-serving organizations so as to provide education and health information services in schools and project areas where resources are limited or not existent.

Today, Kawempe Youth Centre celebrates every young person learning a trade, building a business or gaining digital skills to shape their future.
When we invest in youth skills, we invest in jobs, in communities, and in a stronger nation.
This year, we remain committed to equipping young people with practical market-ready skills for decent work and employment. Happy
