Prayer for Patience: "God, I know Your timing is perfect, and I trust You completely with my life and my circumstances. Lord, thank You for providing for the needs I have right now. And thank You for the blessings that are yet to come. Even if I never see the fulfillment of my heart's desire, I will still honor You with my life. I pray for peace, patience and perseverance—as I put my hope in You. Thank You for comforting me during this time of waiting and for leading me in the way to everlasting life. You are my portion, Lord, and I am fully satisfied. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Paul said in 2 Thessalonians, “God will pay back those who persecute you. And He will provide rest for you who are being persecuted.” God sees the injustice. He sees you doing the right thing, taking the high road, overlooking the offense. Your time is coming. There is a time when God will turn things in your favor.

Are you going to think over and over about what that person said or what they did or didn’t do? When you do that, you’re saying, “Offense, come on in. Be a part of who I am.” No, don’t do that. The writer of Proverbs warns us that we have to guard our heart against offenses. These offenses try to take up residency in our heart, and if they do, they produce resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness.

If you’re reading this today, let this be your reminder that God is still writing your story. The chapter you’re in right now may feel difficult, but difficult chapters are not the end of the book. Joseph had the pit before the palace. Ruth had loss before restoration. Hannah had waiting before answered prayers. Your story is still unfolding. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep showing up. God has a way of bringing beauty from places that once looked broken.

Abraham went through times of great struggle, setbacks, mistakes, and it took many years to shape his character, but God fulfilled His promises to him, and it was through his lineage that Jesus Christ was ultimately brought to this world. It’s the same for us. You will reach the completion phases because God is going to fulfill His promises to you.
