A trip to the 1st UPDF Drill Competition – a powerful exposure visit

Over 35 members of the Gloneva Foundation Brass Band had the privilege to attend the 1st UPDF Drill Competition held at Kololo Independence Grounds — a day packed with military precision, discipline, and inspiration!

This exclusive competition was strictly for UPDF and its services — with ISO emerging as the overall winner, followed by SFC, Military Police, Air Force, and others.

Join the Gloneva Foundation Project— .."SOUNDS Of SILENCE".. empowering the Deaf community through music education, advocacy, and mental health support. Deaf individuals are twice as likely to experience abuse, with over 50% facing physical or sexual violence. Many also face deep-rooted stigma and are often neglected in professional careers, denied equal opportunities to thrive. This must change. Through inclusive music therapy and strong advocacy, we amplify their voices and restore dignity. Let’s break the silence, end neglect, and build a world where every voice matters.

Deafness Isn't a Limitation – Music at GLONEVA Foundation

At GLONEVA Foundation, Deaf individuals learn to play guitar, drums, keyboard, and brass instruments. Using vibrations, visual cues, and Sign Language, we empower them to experience and perform music. We believe everyone deserves the chance to express their talent—proving that music knows no barriers.

Jimmy’s Journey with GLONEVA Piano Lessons

Meet Jimmy, a passionate young musician who discovered his talent through GLONEVA Foundation’s Music Program! When GLONEVA launched music lessons for church bands, Jimmy eagerly enrolled in piano lessons, determined to learn despite having no prior experience.

With hands-on training and dedicated mentorship, Jimmy quickly mastered the piano, developing skills that now allow him to confidently play during church services. His journey is a true inspiration, proving that with the right support, anyone can learn and grow in music.

Today, Jimmy’s success story stands as a testament to how GLONEVA is empowering young musicians and transforming lives through music.

Brass Music for Social Change: A Life-Changing Journey

Joining the GLONEVA Foundation’s Brass Music for Social Change program was the best decision of my life. I started with no experience, but today, I can proudly play the tenor Horn with confidence. This program has given me not just musical skills but also leadership, teamwork, and the courage to dream big.

Teaching music to disadvantaged children is a powerful act of love and hope. It provides them with a voice, a sense of belonging, and the confidence to express themselves. Through music, we can break barriers, ignite creativity, and nurture resilience. Every note played is a step towards a brighter future, where their dreams can flourish. This is exactly what GLONEVA does through its Music for Social Change program, offering this gift freely to plant seeds of joy and possibility. GLONEVA shows these children that they are seen, valued, and capable of greatness.
