Uplift Health Alliance-(UHA) “The Path to Improved Lives”
Who we are Uplift Health Alliance is a youth led not-for-profit foundation initiated in 2014 and attained its legal status in October 2018. Uplift’s prime purpose is to address and tackle the urgent and most pressing needs of in and out of school young people aged 8-24 years including supporting youth friendly service delivery to empower young people through their path to improved lives. Our focus is not limited either in terms of geographical setting or sector, currently we have initiatives running within Kampala and greater parts of Wakiso. we are operating in all regions of Uganda and our head office being in Kampala district.
Uplift also appreciates referring and linking beneficiaries for integrated management and this is important for working towards the long-term goal with a team of young experts in Health, Law, Education, Nutrition, Economic Development, Gender, Research, Technology, Communication and Social Marketing who are vibrant, passionate, committed and willing to walk young people through their path to improved lives.
What we do and how we do it
Influenced by the new development paradigm which considers young people as the new change makers, Uplift follows a participatory approach using a broad range of interventions in the areas of Health, Human Rights, Livelihood and Research. The types of activities range from capacity building to supporting youth friendly service delivery with major focus on in and out of school young people aged 8-24 years.
