Unlocking the future, one innovation at a time! On July 11th, we joined the rest of the world to celebrate World Population Day. To mark this day, UNFPA Uganda hosted an incredible Innovation Fair, bringing together some of the brightest young minds, innovators, and changemakers in the country.

This year’s national theme, “Unlocking the Potential of Uganda’s Population Through Technology and Research to Drive Sustainable Development,” came to life right before our eyes. The energy in the room was unmatched as young innovators showcased groundbreaking, tech-driven solutions designed to address critical challenges in sexual and reproductive health, youth empowerment, and gender equality.
As our Country Representative, Kristine Blokhus, reminded us: Uganda's youthful population is our greatest asset, but realizing this demographic dividend requires deliberate, targeted investments in their skills, health, and ideas.
