YIDO Empowers Women Through Financial Literacy Training
The Youth Development Organization (YIDO), under the Bridge Project, has conducted a “Mother-to-Mother” training focused on equipping participants with essential financial literacy skills.
During the training, participants gained practical knowledge in saving, budgeting, and financial management to strengthen their economic independence. Upon successful completion, they were awarded certificates and issued passbooks to support their participation in savings groups.
YIDO is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities, with a strong focus on empowering youth and women through sustainable development initiatives.

Youth Integrated Development Organisation (YIDO) today had an engagement with Namirembe Hillside High School's Against Crime Club, which is a proactive initiative to empower students with knowledge on personal safety and crime prevention. By educating students on how to protect themselves during holidays, the organisation aims to promote a safer community.

Yesterday, we had a productive meeting with the board, staff, and a donor to develop a board manual for YIDO. Creating a board manual is an important step in establishing clear guidelines and procedures for the organization's governance and operations.

The Schools Against Crime (SAC) club at Kololo High School is taking proactive steps to promote safety and responsibility among students.

We had training and sensitization of S.1 students, educating new students about the importance of crime prevention and community involvement
Training of new SAC executive leaders, equipping student leaders with the skills and knowledge to effectively run the SAC club and promote its objectives and organizing initiatives to support the club's activities and community projects.

"Bi-Annual Coordination Meeting Held with Stakeholders in Rwamwanja

Today, we successfully convened a bi-annual coordination meeting with key stakeholders at the AEP Center, Rwamwanja Senior Secondary School.

The meeting objectives were:

1. To disseminate knowledge and skills acquired from activities implemented during Years 1, 2, and 3.
2. To foster collaboration among stakeholders for streamlined AEP delivery.
3. To develop actionable strategies to address identified challenges.

This meeting provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to share experiences, align efforts, and work together towards achieving common goals."

"YIDO Staff Embark on Partnership-Building Mission in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement

As part of efforts to enhance collaboration and synergy, YIDO staff visited partner organizations in Rwamwanja refugee settlement camp, including:

- Save the Children
- War Child Canada
- Finn Church Aid
- Office of the Prime Minister (OPM)
- UNHCR
ELECU

These strategic meetings aimed to initiate and strengthen partnerships and collaboration, as well as explore existing opportunities for resource mobilization.

The ultimate goal of this engagement is to benefit the communities and population in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement and the host community."

In a bid to combat criminality in schools, we have patterned with the Uganda Police Force, and conducted an outreach program at St. Peter's Secondary School Naalya.

George Kwizera fro. YIDOUG accompanied CP Anatoli Muleterwa, Head of Community Policing, and SPP Musisi Richard, and addressed the students, offering career guidance and words of wisdom.

That's a great initiative! The partnership between Youth Integrated Development Organization (YIDO) and Uganda Police to sensitize students at Namataba Senior Secondary School in Mukono District is a wonderful way to promote a crime-free generation. By forming Schools Against Crime Clubs across the country, empowers young people to take an active role in preventing crime and creating a safer future for themselves and their communities.
