Animals are not objects—they are sentient beings capable of feeling pain, fear, and love. Yet millions suffer every day through abuse, neglect, and exploitation💚

Kindness shouldn’t stop with humans. It should extend to all living beings💚

Choose compassion. Speak up against cruelty. Make conscious choices that end harm.

Go vegan. 🌱

🌍 Earth Day 2026: Protecting Our Planet Through Sustainable Choices🌱

This Earth Day, we are reminded that the health of our planet is deeply connected to the choices we make every day. Embracing sustainable food systems, from supporting local farmers to choosing plant-forward diets, can significantly reduce environmental impact and help restore balance to our ecosystems🌱

Compassionate living is more than a personal value; it is a powerful pathway to protecting biodiversity, conserving natural resources, and defending the Earth for future generations. When we choose foods and practices that respect animals, people, and the planet, we contribute to a more resilient and sustainable world.

🌱 Let us commit to nurturing the Earth through mindful consumption, responsible production, and collective action. The future of our planet depends on the compassion and responsibility we show today.

Educating young people about veganism and food system change is not a trend, it is a necessity. Schools play a critical role in shaping values, and today’s students will define tomorrow’s ethical, sustainable world.

With greater support, can expand its reach and double its impact in schools, ensuring more students have access to the knowledge and tools needed to help build a kinder, more sustainable world.

Supporting this work today helps shape the leaders who will create a better tomorrow. 🌍

Intersectional Veganism Speaking Series | Webinar 3.

Thrive Philanthropy invites you to the third session of the Intersectional Veganism Speaking Series with Omowale Adewale
This is a critical conversation on how veganism connects with broader social justice movements.
📅 Date: 07 May 2026
Theme: Vegan Intersectionality
Originally articulated by Kimberlé Crenshaw, intersectionality highlights how systems of oppression are interconnected and cannot be addressed in isolation.
In this session, Omowale Adewale will explore how vegan intersectionality offers a powerful framework for understanding injustice across multiple dimensions—and how it can be applied in advocacy, education, and movement-building.
Key areas of discussion:
Foundations of intersectionality
Intersections of gender, race, and class
Expanding veganism beyond animals and health
Using language and advocacy to drive inclusive social change
This session is designed for advocates committed to strengthening their approach to activism, community building, and food justice.

Watch how our team showed up at the pollinator run 2025!

We actively ran with the Kawempe community to raise awareness in defense of the pollinators and our environment.

Pollinators play a significant role in shaping food system change and it’s our responsibility to defend them🌱

Thrilled to see our founder featured in today’s highlighting the urgent environmental policy gaps around plastic pollution in Uganda.

Plastic pollution is becoming one of the country’s most pressing environmental challenges. Improper disposal of plastics contaminates soil, reducing its fertility and affecting crop productivity. Plastic debris also blocks water channels and breaks down into microplastics that pollute rivers, lakes, and groundwater, threatening drinking water sources.

In aquatic ecosystems, plastic waste harms fish and other aquatic life through ingestion and entanglement, disrupting food chains and impacting livelihoods that depend on fisheries. On land, plastics hinder crop growth and food production by degrading soil health and interfering with water absorption.

Addressing this crisis requires stronger policies and collective action. Uganda must accelerate sustainable solutions such as:
• Promoting recycling and circular economy practices
• Encouraging reuse of plastic materials where possible
• Strengthening waste collection and safe disposal systems
• Supporting innovative alternatives to single-use plastics
• Enforcing environmental regulations and public awareness initiatives

Reducing plastic pollution is not just an environmental priority—it is essential for protecting our soils, water resources, biodiversity, food systems, and the health of communities.
