The Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Uganda (AOGU) is a registered non-profit, professional organization founded in 1985 by a group of enthusiastic Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Vision To become a leading champion of quality reproductive health in the region. Mandate To promote professionalism, undertake research, and represent members at local, regional, international level

and champion Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) of the people in the region. Core values: Professionalism, Transparency and accountability, Responsiveness, Innovation, Dynamism, Teamwork and commitment, Partnerships, Standards and quality:

Affiliations: AOGU is a member of International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), African Federation of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (AFOG) and the East Central and Southern African Obstetrics and Gynaecology Societies (ECSAOGS). Membership: Full membership is to all Obstetricians and Gynaecologists that pay their annual subscription fee. Associate members include midwives, post graduate students and other reproductive health care providers. Honorary members are individuals that have significantly contributed to SRHR.
