African Youth Development Link (AYDL)

African Youth Development Link (AYDL) We are Uganda's leading youth NGO, on a mission to put young people at the heart of decision-making.

AYDL seeks to provide a link for connecting all young people and development policy processes in Uganda so that we are each part of something larger than ourselves. We strive to promote young people's active, responsible and continuing participation in local and global development. We work to create a socially inclusive environment where all young people are engaged, informed and inspired to take

on the challenges in their development processes as the route to achieving their ambitions and dreams, through focused youth mentoring, policy advocacy and engagement, knowledge and information sharing as well as skills development.

Nothing for us, without us. ✊🏾

To every young woman who has stepped back from leadership to protect her safety: you are not the problem. The systems that tolerate harassment, coercion, and impunity must change.

AYDL stands for action, reporting mechanisms that work, protection that is real, and justice that is enforced.

Women’s rights cannot exist without enforcement.
Where women fear retaliation for reporting harassment, justice becomes a promise that never arrives.

This month of March, we call for survivor-friendly pathways to justice—confidential, independent, and safe.

Sunday 8th March will be International Women's day. As we celebrate it, no young woman should have to navigate a minefield of exploitation just to claim a seat at the table. 💪🏼

True progress isn't just about opening doors—it's about ensuring the journey through them is free from coercion and fear. We stand for a world where potential is the only currency needed to lead. 🚺✊🏽
