The DEAR Day also known as "Drop Everything and Read" 2026 campaign in Kampala, Uganda, was celebrated under the theme “Restoring Hope for Tomorrow,” aiming to boost literacy, confidence, and reading culture among learners. Led by the Kampala Capital City Authority - KCCA

A smile costs nothing but holds the power to open even the coldest hearts. In a world where kindness is rare, let your smile be the light that reminds others there's still warmth and goodness. Keep smiling — someone out there needs the hope it brings. Below is how we celebrated women's day yesterday as we started with a community clean up and then we had an interactive session with our young mothers where we realized that there is a gap of not having a safe place where teenage mothers can open to share what they are going through.
