Today marked a proud milestone as ACTogether Uganda and the National Slum Dwellers Federation of Uganda (NSDFU) successfully held their 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
This year's AGM was especially meaningful because, for the very first time, we gathered in our own home—a significant milestone that reflects how far we have come as a movement. It was more than just a venue; it symbolized growth, resilience, and the power of collective action.
We were honored to welcome representatives from our different regions across Uganda, whose participation showcased the strength and unity of our federation. Together, we reflected on our journey, celebrated our achievements, and discussed the road ahead.
The annual reports highlighted remarkable progress made over the past year. Among the many achievements, one that stood out was our growing impact on young people, with more youth engaged, empowered, and actively participating in building inclusive and resilient communities.
Our Board members provided valuable insights as they reviewed and responded to the audit report, reaffirming their commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance. They also expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the ACTogether Uganda team, community leaders, and all our partners for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment in advancing our shared mission.
As we move forward, today's discussions have strengthened our resolve to continue building stronger communities, expanding opportunities for the urban poor, and ensuring that every voice is heard.
A sincere thank you to all our members, regional representatives, Board members, partners, and supporters for making this AGM a success. Together, we are proving that when communities lead, lasting change is possible.
