🌳 Last saturday was all about hitting pause to move forward stronger!

Rotary Kampala Daybreak held our club retreat, and what a time it was! We stepped out, and focused on what truly matters—our mission, our fellowship, and our impact on the community.

From heartfelt discussions to plenty of laughs and team bonding, we are returning recharged, united, and ready to make an even bigger difference.

A massive thank you to our incredible members who dedicated their time and energy. You are what makes this club extraordinary! 🤝

Have you ever felt like just another face in the crowd? 🌳 This Thursday morning, Rotary Kampala Daybreak is challenging you to stand out.

We are excited to welcome Professor Juma Waiswa Balunywa as our guest speaker. As the former Principal of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and a respected economist, he knows a thing or two about building a legacy.

His topic, "Be the Tallest Tree in the Forest, Don’t Be Junk," is a powerful call to action for anyone in business, leadership, or life. Don't just survive—thrive.

See you there!

When the District Governor asked us why we're the club, our members didn't hesitate. 💬 Here's what our Past President Fredrick Kitakule had to say👇

"Honor him where he served." 🇺🇬❤️

That was the heartfelt plea from our Charter Member, John Bigyemano, during our meeting with DG Gerald Obai. John proposed that the Late Rtn. Dr. Mathew Lukwiya receive a Vocational Service Award at the upcoming DISCON 102 in Gulu.

Dr. Lukwiya was no ordinary Rotarian. He was the Medical Superintendent of St. Mary's Hospital Lacor and a frontline warrior during the 2000 Ebola outbreak. He gave his life caring for others, embodying the very essence of Rotary's commitment to service.

What better place to honor him than in Gulu—the very community he served, protected, and ultimately died for?

We applaud John Bigyemano for this thoughtful motion and call upon all Rotarians to support this recognition. Let's ensure Dr. Lukwiya's legacy is celebrated at DISCON 102. 💪🏾

Drop a 🇺🇬 or 🙏 if you support this honor!
