We gifted 25 fruit trees to Christ Embassy Nursery Primary School in Masaka District. Our team educated pupils on tree planting and care, promoting climate change awareness. When children teach parents, and parents teach the community, we all benefit.

In celebration of the International Day of Forests, UTGA (Uganda Timber Growers Association) has embarked on a green mission. We've spread the love of nature by gifting Pinus Caribbea, Eucalyptus Grandis Urophylla, Maesopsis eminii, and Markhamia lutea tree seedlings to our neighbors and local offices along the vibrant Bukoto Street.

Why all the greenery, you ask? Well, UTGA is on a quest to tackle the heatwaves and climate chaos brought on by climate change. We are not just planting trees but sowing the seeds of change.

UTGA isn't just stopping at planting. We are igniting a green revolution. We are rallying households and offices alike to join the tree-planting frenzy. It's not just about planting trees; it's about fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and nurturing our green spaces for generations to come.

Each tree planted is a step towards a cooler, greener, and happier future for all of us. Let's make every day feel like the International Day of Forests.

UTGA provided technical support to the umeme as the implemented one of their CSR activities. They established an environment and safety club for Mpigi primary school in Luwero district through launching a tree planting activity. We planted 500 assorted fruit trees and 2500 grandis Urophylla seedlings which together will be used to establish a 0.5 acre orchard and a 4 acre eucalyptus woodlot.
