Umbrella Kids is a Non-profit, Non-Government Organization registered and licensed by the NGO Board in Uganda. It has been operational since 2016, working to empower children and the youth. Started by a young Entrepreneur Michael Kiberu N. who has worked at Multinational cooperation’s in Germany, Switzerland in organization such as Lidl, Deutsche Bank, SIX among others.
To discover the hidden treasures and gifts in every child. Train and educate children to understand how to lead their lives and not to be led by life. Building a new generation of people who know truly who they are through promoting self-esteem and actualization.
To inspire and educate children on their identity and to enable them think past and out of historical, geographical, economic, social, and religious limits.
Umbrella Kid's with partners such as KIPYA | Group, Bit2Big and others will be organizing the 4th Annual Youth Conference.
The Conference is targeting youths from age 19-30 years. It will take place from the 8th - 14th December 2019 at Mulusa Academy Wobulenzi, Luweero District, Uganda. We expect over 2000 attendees.
Goals of the Conference
Some of the goals we want to achieve are but not limited to:
Inspire and educate the youth on their identity, discover who they really are, their abilities and gifts.
Train youth hands on skills in various income generation projects such as;1. Entrepreneurship training through a business panel.2. Digital finance such as Cryptocurrencies to prepare the youth for the new age of finance.3. Computer workshops for IT literacy economically empowering the youth in the end.
Women Empowerment Activities
Impact the youth with programs that will influence their families, farming, businesses, and mindsets to become self-sustaining.
Help, train and mentor youth create business ideas and startups and show them how to start, grow and sustain their businesses.
Give best business ideas start-up capital as a kick start to help them to start and grow.
Coverage
During the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Annual Youth Conferences, we had a turn up of over 400 and over 900 Youth in the latter from all around the country in the districts of:

• Masindi
• Nakasongola • Nakaseke
• Kampala
• Wakiso • Kayunga • Mityana • Luwero
We expect to have over 1500 Youth from all around the country to turn up for the 4th Annual Youth Conference this year.
