Mozilla Uganda is a branch of the Mozilla Foundation located in California, USA. The Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit organization aiming at a free and open web i.e free software, websites, content like videos, downloads, etc and it's because of this that it has gone ahead with help from it's members and contributors to create or promote free apps, add-ons, software like Popcorn for making video
s, browsers like Firefox, Aurora, education such as P2PUniversity, WebGL, etc. In the years since its inception, Mozilla decided to localize down into local communities and languages and that's when later in October, 2011; Mozilla Uganda Community commonly referred to as MozComUg was founded which was to host several fun events such as the Hack Jam, Bar-Camp, Community meet-ups, and so many more. It was brought into existence by a few senior reps but nevertheless it's open to as many contributors as there can be, so Dive in!
