Home of Joy Home of Joy is an orphanage for physically disabled children. The orphange is located i Wandagye in central Kampala, Uganda. Poultry farming.

Home of joy shelters 59 children of whom 40 are residents, (32 disabled and 8 are able- bodied), 19 non residents, 10 staff and 1 Salvation Army officer (the Centre manager). Services rendered to the children in this centre include: - Provide shelter, feeding, medication, education, mobility appliances, clothing, spiritual care and other domestic needs. We admit children from the age of 10years be

low and they are to stay in this centre up to the age of 17years i.e. after P.L.E they go back and study from their respective homes but we still do the follow up. Only those of abandoned cases can stay in the centre as they have nowhere to go meanwhile looking for an alternative course of action. The Home of Joy depends mainly on sponsorship from Salvation Army International, Friends and well-wishers. The Home needs Volunteers who can help for taking children to and from Hospital, School, to the Community fields for games and also help in project implementation e.g.
