RUFORUM and (ICIPE - International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology held a consultative meeting to develop a clear roadmap for implementing joint activities in capacity building for students, graduates, and early-career scientists to translate science into jobs and wealth creation, and develop new investment portfolios for impactful research-for-development initiatives under its MOU framework.
The partnership will leverage ’s state-of-the-art research and capacity-building platforms alongside ’s extensive network of universities, experts, and students. will support key aspects of the collaboration, including placement of graduate students and early-career scientists in the network at , staff exchanges, industry linkages, and innovation acceleration programmes.
The broader partnership framework is anchored in research, training, innovation, student and staff exchange from the network, resource mobilization, agribusiness development, policy engagement, and scaling climate-smart, insect-based, and sustainable agricultural solutions to strengthen food systems and youth employment across Africa.
