Luuka’s 🐝 project launch 🚀

The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation , in partnership with Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE), have successfully launched the Busoga Economic Empowerment (BEE) Project before the Luuka District authorities.

The launch was graced by the resident district commissioner, Mr. Kibwika Michael (in a black tie), the Chairperson LC V, and the principal assistant secretary representing the chief administrative officer. Political leaders, technical officers, NGOs, and prospective farmers were also in attendance.

We were further honoured by the presence of the Misjonsalliansen / Mission Alliance Country Representative, Mr. Thomas Bagoole, the Country Director of Stromme Foundation Uganda, Ms. Dinah, and the Busoga team.

The political leadership expressed great enthusiasm for the project and pledged their full commitment to supporting its implementation throughout its lifespan.

After months of intensive, hands-on training by The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation , with incredible support from Enabel , European Union in Uganda and Gateway , our youth successfully completed their assessments.

From crafting both KTB and local hives, to processing a variety of beeswax products, and demonstrating real-life beekeeping skills — they truly rose to the challenge.

We are excited to see their hard work pay off! These young individuals are now stepping forward as certified professionals in Uganda’s beekeeping sector, equipped with the knowledge and skills to build sustainable livelihoods.🌍💛

A big congratulations to all our participants — your dedication and determination are inspiring! The future is truly buzzing with opportunity, and you are ready to lead the way. 🐝✨

𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹!

This morning we had a productive Breakfast Meeting at Hotel Africana where we officially launched the roadmap for the 4th Africa Symposium that will be organised here in Uganda by The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation in close partnership with Bees for Development and Uganda.

The event was graced by Dr. Anna Rose Ademun, who represented the Minister for Animal Industry, Hon. Bright Rwamirama, as the Chief Guest. Her remarks highlighted the growing importance of apiculture in strengthening livelihoods, environmental sustainability, and agricultural value chains across Africa.

We were honored to host a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from government institutions, , and key actors across the beekeeping value chain. Their presence and engagement demonstrated the strong collaborative spirit needed to advance Africa’s apiculture sector.

A special highlight of the morning was the insightful presentation by Dr. Biryomumaisho Dickson , which sparked meaningful discussions and set the tone for the journey toward the 4th Africa Apimondia Symposium.

Grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to this important milestone. Together, we are building momentum for a stronger, more sustainable future for Africa’s beekeeping community. 🍯🐝

🌍 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗔𝗽𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 – 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 🐝

Tomorrow 12th March 2026, The Uganda National Apiculture Development Organisation together with partners: Bees for Development and Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries will convene a Breakfast Meeting with key stakeholders as we begin coordinated preparations for the 4th Africa Apimondia Symposium, scheduled for 25th-28th August 2026.

This important meeting will bring together all stakeholders in the apiculture sector to shape the symposium planning process and launch the Africa Regional Apimondia Symposium ( 2026) Roadmap.

We aim to provide a platform for strategic partners and stakeholders to be briefed on the upcoming 2026 Symposium, while mobilizing support and collaboration toward its successful organization.
