Today, Trailblazers Mentoring Foundation (TMF), with support from UNICEF and Kitgum District Local Government, convened a coordination meeting with district political and technical leaders to strengthen ownership, leadership and coordination of the Girls for Development Uganda (G4DU) Cash Plus Programme.
The engagement provided an opportunity to orient newly elected and existing leaders on programme objectives, implementation arrangements and their critical role in supporting programme delivery. Participants also received updates on programme progress, key achievements and recent operational changes, including the transition to mobile money payments.
The meeting further reviewed implementation challenges and identified practical actions to strengthen coordination, accountability and community support for vulnerable adolescent girls enrolled in the programme.
By fostering stronger collaboration between district stakeholders and implementing partners, we are building a more enabling environment for girls to access education, social protection and opportunities to thrive.
