Parenting in a busy world: what really matters?
Join Us for an Important Conversation on Parenting in Today’s Fast-Paced World!

In many urban settings, parents often juggle demanding jobs, long commutes, and numerous responsibilities. But in the middle of all this, one critical question often arises: “Is my child getting enough of me?”

As part of the ECD X Spaces Advocacy Series, Episode Six will dive deep into this timely discussion, exploring how busy parents can stay emotionally connected to their children, support their development, and remain present even amidst the pressures of city life.

We are proud to share that Trailblazers Mentoring Foundation - TMF Uganda (TMF)’s Executive Director, Joyce Atimango Okker, will be joining the panel as a guest speaker. Joyce brings a wealth of experience in child development, parenting support, and building resilient families through mentorship and community empowerment.

We are proud to share highlights from Trailblazers Mentoring Foundation (TMF) Girls’ Leadership & Mentoring Camp, an inspiring 2-day event supported by the Ambassade de France en Ouganda - Embassy of France in Uganda

The camp brought together adolescent girls for transformative sessions on leadership, public speaking, career exploration, life skills, teamwork, and confidence-building. It provided a safe and empowering space for girls to learn, connect with mentors, and strengthen their voice and agency.

At TMF, we believe that when girls are empowered, they become catalysts for change in their communities. We are grateful to the French Embassy in Uganda for supporting this initiative and investing in the next generation of young female leaders.

We kick off Day 2 of the Girls Leadership & Mentorship Camp

Our 50 incredible girls from Kampala are back for another day of learning, empowerment, and inspiration. Today, they will dive deeper into sessions on self-awareness, leadership, goal setting, purpose, and personal growth led by our amazing mentors:

Day 2 is all about helping girls discover their strengths, set meaningful goals, build confidence, and use their voice to create positive change in their schools, families, and communities.

With support from the in Uganda, Trailblazers Mentoring Foundation has kicked off a 2-day Girls Leadership & Mentorship Camp bringing together 50 adolescent girls from the three divisions of Kampala, including Central, Kawempe, and Rubaga.

The camp aims to develop leadership skills, boost confidence and self-awareness, and empower girls' voices and agency to advocate for their rights to education, participation, protection, and economic opportunities.

Through mentorship, inspiration, and shared experiences, these girls are being equipped to become changemakers in their schools, families, and communities, shaping a brighter, more equal future for all.

Empowering the next generation of girl leaders.

With support from the tomorrow we kick off a Leadership & Mentorship Camp at Eureka Place

The camp will bring together 50 girls to build confidence, discover their potential, and strengthen their leadership to champion education, girls’ rights, and ending violence against girls.

TMF is honoured to join UN agencies, Government of Uganda, and partners at the Education Plus Initiative Symposium under the theme “Investing in Education for Adolescent Empowerment: Catalysing Progress Against AIDS, Teenage Pregnancy, GBV & Poverty.”.Together, we are championing adolescent empowerment through education, tackling challenges like AIDS, teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, and poverty.

This annual gathering brings together education actors from across East Africa to connect, share evidence and learning, and co-create solutions that promote equitable, inclusive, and quality education for all children.
