When the private sector speaks with one voice, Parliament listens.

Led by AmCham Uganda, the Foreign Chambers of Commerce sat down with Hon. Stephen Baka Mugabi, Co-Chairperson of Uganda’s Joint Parliamentary Committee, to engage on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill, 2026.

The delegation was jointly led by Sarah Arapta, CEO of Citibank Uganda and President of AmCham Uganda, and Uthman Mayanja, Country Senior Partner at PwC Uganda and Vice President of AmCham Uganda. They were joined by Anna Grodzki, Managing Director of Matooke Tours and Board Member of NUTIP; Obua Odongo Sydney, General Manager of NUTIP; Immie Bukko, General Manager of BCCU; Happiness Daher-Ebhohon, General Manager of FCCU; and Remmy Wahanze, FMVA®️, Legal Associate at TASLAF Advocates.
