Friendship Beyond Borders Through Our Pen Pal Magic App
The world is becoming a little smaller for the children in our Pen Pal Program!

We are excited to announce that we are now using the Pen Pal Magic app to make communication between our pen pals quicker, easier, and more meaningful.

Through the app, children can connect with friends in other countries, exchange messages, learn about different cultures, and build friendships that cross borders.

For a child in rural Uganda, receiving a message from a child in another country can be an incredibly exciting experience. It can help them build confidence, improve reading and writing, learn about the world, develop communication skills, and make genuine international friendships.

Bukedea Learning Lab is Officially Live!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Bukedea Learning Lab, an innovative after-school initiative designed to transform how children build foundational skills in literacy and mathematics through interactive, game-based learning.

Our Key Highlights & Impact:

1- Targeted Support:
We have partnered with 6 public primary schools across Bukedea Town Council to identify vulnerable children who struggle most with reading and math, helping restore their confidence and passion for education.

2- Interactive Methodology:
Through play and game-based learning, standard lessons turn into engaging, empowering experiences.

3- Measuring Progress:
This week, our pioneer cohort is sitting for assessments to evaluate their baseline scores and track learning gains.

4- Scale & Need:
While our current capacity allows us to recruit 80 learners per year, over 1,000 children in our community remain in urgent need of this support.

Good news!
Murphy Charitable Foundation is now officially registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States.

This milestone represents more than recognition, it strengthens our ability to expand our programs and serve vulnerable children, women, and youth across Uganda and the U.S.

We are excited about this next chapter and grateful for the support that continues to make this journey possible.
