Peer To Peer Uganda (PEERU) engaged community members, and faith leaders in an intergenerational dialogue at St. James Church of Uganda, Namuganga Parish, Namuganga Sub-county, Mukono District, creating a safe and constructive space for generations to listen, learn and engage with one another.

Through our partnership with Mukono district Education Office, and the church under the Kasawo Archdeaconry, Mukono Diocese, the engagement provided an opportunity for young people to share their experiences, aspirations, concerns and perspectives, while community and faith leaders reflected on how they can better support young people to make informed and responsible decisions.

Intergenerational engagement is critical to building communities that work together,.

For PEERU, working with faith and community institutions is an important pathway to strengthening youth participation, SRHR awareness, positive relationships, mentorship and community ownership of sustainable solutions.

PEERU joined the National SRHR Impact and Learning Forum, held under the theme: “Celebrating Impact, Strengthening Partnerships, and Shaping the Future of SRHR in Uganda.”

The forum provided an important opportunity to pause, reflect and learn to look beyond what we have achieved and ask: What has changed? What have we learned? What must we do differently or better to sustain and scale the gains made?

For PEERU, meaningful and sustainable SRHR impact requires more than successful projects. It calls for strong partnerships, locally owned solutions, youth leadership, evidence-informed programming, continued learning, and systems that can sustain impact beyond project funding.

PEERU at the Q4 RMNCAH+N Stakeholders Meeting

Peer To Peer Uganda (PEERU) is participating in the Quarter 4 FY2025/26 Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health plus Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) Stakeholders Meeting. The meeting brings together key stakeholders to review progress, reflect on implementation experiences, identify emerging priorities, and strengthen coordination and accountability for improved RMNCAH+N outcomes in Uganda.

As a youth-focused organization, PEERU continues to advocate for meaningful youth participation and stronger investments in adolescent health, ensuring that the voices and priorities of young people are reflected in policies, programs and decision-making processes.
