Our vision is to uplift the livelihood of vulnerable people in rural and urban Uganda through supporting the work of the local community organizations by placement of international volunteers. We also aim to create a meaningful volunteer experience by providing diverse projects as
well as impactful, exciting tour and travel opportunities. Our Objectives
To exchange and share experiences and knowledge on strategies for empowerment of communities;
To build coordinated action as a collective of individuals, governments, corporations and nongovernment organizations to address the root causes and symptoms of poverty in Uganda;
To promote scientific research, economic analysis and national, regional, and international development expertise to practice achievement of development at the community level;
To provide diverse opportunities for international volunteers, including but not limited to: short term volunteering, internships, and travel opportunities;
To better the standards of living of community members through increasing short and long-term security and quality education at the community level by carrying out frequent research about any issues that may arise and affect the community;
To provide an enriching, quality experience for all international volunteers that we place in our projects;
To provide a forum for full and free discussion of all matters connected with community rehabilitation, conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives
Our Core Values
RAVT’s relations with its beneficiaries are based on and governed by the virtues of courtesy, integrity, respect, commitment and efficiency. RAVT is and strives to be a good corporate citizen by complying with the laws of Uganda and contributing to social and economic development of rural and semi urban people and the country as a whole. RAVT's structures facilitate and ease the process of good corporate governance with rewards and penalties from adherence to this principle.
