December of 2012, I felt a strong conviction from the Holy Spirit to prepare a Christmas party for the street children in Kampala Uganda. My Wife and I set up a team and organized our first Street Children Christmas party . We fed approximately 750 street children in one of the dangerous slums in Kampala. We saw God's love move on the kids whose ages ranged from 3 to 22 years. As we returned home,
God impressed upon us the need to do more than just a Christmas party for these Children. We accepted the challenge and Help Kids Up was born. Help Kids Up is dedicated to helping meet the physical and spiritual needs of street kids and orphans.Our vision is to provide a safe environment for street children, orphans, and kids living in desperate poverty areas in Uganda.Raising them up with the honor deserve as Children of God.We believe that God desires to raise up an army of children from the despair of city streets in every nations. And to touch God's people with not words only but with His love God and actions.We know with the help of the Holy Spirit we will impact these children's lives. We will strengthen and restore families whenever possible.Our mission is to continue Jesus' mission as stated in Luke 4:18: To preach the gospel to the poor, heal the broken hearted, proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed
We believe they shall go forth proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. We believe they are God's own special people, and they will proclaim the praises of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light. For our God is a Father to the fatherless.With your help we can reach more street kids with the love of Jesus. We invite you to join us reach hundreds of street children and orphans in Uganda. At the moment we have 30 Children btn the Age of 5 to 19 and an activity teacher such as dance,sports,Drama) as we plan on having the children go to school next Year. We train the children in the ways of the Lord, they partake in bible studies, church services and some are on the choir. The children live with a mum who takes care of them, and are happy to have a true home. Our goal is to see them grow up to be strong individuals who will bless society.
