MUSLIM YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE was founded in 2014 by Mr MBOGO ALI,he has over 15 years of experience running community based programs for young people and their families. After seeing how many young people fall victims to lure of the street,and the increasing orphans,underprivileged children in the community, because of either their all or one of their parents died of AIDS
and other related and tropical diseases like Ebola virus or because they abused by their parents due to the high level irresponsible drinking of alcohol that render these parents being not in control of providing them necessary basic family needs hence children resort to Street in search of a living.. The purpose of the organization,
(a) Is to empower young people to avoid at risk behaviors that may lead to violence, drugs,alcohol, and s*x outside marriage. (b)To promote sustainable development-social equity environmental quality and economic viability-trough cross-cultural, inter-generational partnership and strategic initiatives with the united nations,IGOs,NGOs,government missions and local organizations. The organization's ultimate goal is to motivate young people to become productive members of their community
The organization is comprised of over 30 volunteers from various walks of life who possess the passion and desire to touch lives through caring and commitment. CORE VALUES
