A proud moment for the Young Mothers Project!

On May 15, 60 project beneficiaries graduated after completing a two-month tailoring skills training at Uganda Industrial Research Institute.

Through this training, 58 young women and 2 young men gained practical skills to help them build independent and sustainable futures.

Congratulations to all the graduates for their hard work, commitment, and achievement!

"When the Church Refuses to Leave a Girl Behind” | Reflections from the May 9 Sabbath Worship

On May 9, participants joined in person and via Zoom for a meaningful Sabbath worship gathering and discussion focused on an important question: What happens when the church refuses to leave a girl behind?

Through a powerful message, reflection, and conversation, we explored the role faith communities can play in supporting vulnerable girls facing poverty, abuse, teenage pregnancy, stigma, and interrupted education.

The gathering reminded us that faith calls us not to remain silent, but to act — to support dignity, restoration, education, and opportunity for every girl.

A key message stayed with us: when the church chooses compassion over judgment and action over silence, lives can be transformed.

Thank you to everyone who joined us onsite and online and contributed to this meaningful Sabbath reflection and shared commitment to ensuring no girl is left behind.

As the RISE Project comes to an end, we reflect on stories of resilience, courage, and hope.

Paluku Genevive, a refugee from the DRC living in Bukere, lost her food support while also struggling with a physical disability. Through the support provided by ADRA Uganda under the RISE Project, she was able to buy food and start a small poultry business — helping her rebuild her life step by step.

“After eating, my mind came back to normal.”

Her story is a reminder that timely support can restore dignity and open new possibilities even in the most difficult circumstances.

We are grateful to all partners, supporters, and communities who made the RISE Project possible and helped create lasting impact in the lives of refugee and host communities.

Last week, ADRA Uganda staff across the Main Office and field offices came together to conclude the week with a Team Building Day filled with teamwork, learning, laughter, and connection.

The activities strengthened collaboration, encouraged team spirit, and reminded us that working together makes our impact even stronger in the communities we serve.

Thank you to all staff who participated and made the day memorable. 💙

Hundreds ran today — but we ran for something bigger.

Today, at the first-ever ADRA Run – , hundreds of people showed up with one purpose: to stand with vulnerable girls in Agago and help create brighter futures.

Every step meant hope for girls who deserve a second chance through vocational skilling, education support, and empowerment.

To every runner, volunteer, partner, sponsor, and supporter — THANK YOU.

On a special Mother’s Day, your presence reminded us what community care truly looks like.

This wasn’t only about fitness.
This was about dignity. Opportunity. Hope.

And this is just the beginning.

🏃‍♀️ ADRA RUN 2026: Promo Activities Kick Off Across Uganda

Preparations for the ADRA RUN 2026 are in full swing!

Our team in Kitgum recently held a photo and video shoot to gear up for the event, highlighting that this movement extends far beyond Kampala.

While the main run takes place at Metroplex Mall, Naalya, we are excited to bring the “Run for Her Future” spirit to various districts, including Kitgum, Rwamwanja, Kyaka, Kotido, and Yumbe.

We are working hard behind the scenes to make this the biggest run yet. Stay tuned for more updates and join us in supporting the young mothers!
