Keana Foundation Ug An estimated 45,000 newborns die each year making Uganda the country with the 5th highest number of newborn deaths in Sub Sahara Africa.

Through a Corporate Social Responsibility drive, Keana Foundation aims to raise funds from corporate individuals and companies to procure and supply select Public Hospitals in Uganda with Infant Incubators. A recent demographic and health survey report a national neonatal mortality rate ( NMR) of 29 deaths per 1,000 live births for the period 2000-2005, compared to 33 and 27 deaths –per 1,000 live births for 1995-2009 and 1990-1998 respectively.
