From ICT lessons and literacy sessions to communication, critical thinking, and behavioural management, our recently concluded second Holiday Program of the year (4th–22nd May) was packed with learning, laughter, and life skills for over 25 teenagers and young adults 📚✨
This program reminded us that education does not only happen in classrooms. Sometimes it happens while learning how to sew a button back onto a shirt or how to survive on an imaginary island.
A special thank you to
Sam shared his cobbling skills and story with the children, teaching them practical skills he has honed since childhood.
Gratitude as well to and @16.01.90s.
Kato and Leon spent time with the boys speaking about integrity, success, responsibility, and positive manhood, conversations that matter deeply.
Much appreciation to our Most Dangerous Substitute .a.c.h.e.a.l__ for the passion and creativity she always brings to her lessons with the kids.
And of course, the program ended the only logical way possible: with a football match between the Holiday Program participants and the 4040 volunteers ⚽
The boys challenged the men.
The men accepted.
History was made.
The less said about the scoreline, the better for the volunteers. (They lost)
Most importantly, we are grateful to the children for spending half of their holidays with us, and to the parents and guardians for trusting the Angaza Resource Centre to keep their young ones engaged, learning, and growing. 😊
We wish you and all your children a blessed and successful second term and everything necessary to make it happen. ♥️
