Streetlights Uganda

Streetlights Uganda A Non-profit organisation uplifting lives of children living on the streets using art We cant change the world but we can initiate change for the better.

Streetlights Uganda focuses on uplifting lives of children living on the streets using art both performing and visual as tools for empowerment along with addressing some of the reasons as to why these children end up on the streets. We aim at giving hope to these vulnerable children in Uganda affected by streetlife, working with existing organisations and different Stakeholders to boost their esteem, skill development and capacity building.

Happiness is more than a feeling, it’s a goal worth striving for every single day. 🌍✨

On this International Day of Happiness, we’re reminded that creating a better world means ending poverty, reducing inequality, and protecting our planet, for everyone.

At Streetlights Uganda, happiness isn’t just celebrated once a year. It’s built into everyday life, through opportunity, empowerment, and hope for a brighter future. 💛
Because when communities are uplifted, every day becomes a reason to smile.

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and love of every woman who continues to shape our communities and inspire hope. Women are the quiet builders of our society — nurturing dreams, guiding the next generation, and standing strong even in the face of challenges.

At Streetlights Uganda, we are deeply grateful for the incredible women who play a part in our journey. From the mothers who continue to believe in a better future for their children, to the mentors and supporters who give their time, wisdom, and care, and the women in our programs who are courageously learning new skills and rebuilding their lives — you are all a powerful reminder that change begins with opportunity and determination.

Your strength inspires the children we serve, your creativity brings beauty and possibility to our spaces, and your courage helps light the path toward a brighter future.

Today and every day, we celebrate you.
Happy International Women’s Day.

This year, our boys are back in school sitting in class, writing in their books, asking questions, and dreaming about their future. What once felt like a distant possibility is now becoming their daily reality.

At Streetlights Uganda, we believe education is one of the strongest foundations we can give a child. Seeing them focused in class, learning alongside others, reminds us that every child deserves the chance to grow, learn, and build a better future.

We thank all of you that have helped us archive this and together more children out there can attain education.

From the streets to the classroom the journey continues, one lesson at a time.

As we step into this new month, we are filled with gratitude for the journey, the growth, and every life being touched along the way. February gives us another opportunity to nurture talent, restore dignity, and walk alongside children as they discover their purpose and potential.

At Streetlights Uganda, we remain committed to creating safe spaces, building skills, and shaping brighter futures through love in action, creativity, and care. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with us together, hope keeps shining.
