The Generous Hands Foundation is dedicated to defending and advocating for the rights of the disadvantaged children and youth, so that we create for them avenues and opportunities to achieve productive and sustainable livelihoods, through education, care and support. Description of our programs. We run foster and vulnerable families, provide school fees and supplies, healthcare, clothing, beddings, income generating activities, vocational skills for the children and youth, street rich, peer education(training on leadership skills HIV/AIDS awareness programme) hospital visits. We conduct regular life skills camps and annual conferences for the children and youth. We organize courses on human rights and Restorative Justice to empower the community to promote the rights of the disadvantaged and vulnerable children. Global Youth Service Day
Every April we mobilize young people to design and implement service and learning projects to meet the needs of their community through volunteering. Care Corner
Here we aim to alleviate child poverty so we collect unwanted items and in-kind donations of clothes, shoes, food stuff, beddings, and school supplies and give them to the identified less privileged children in our community. Youth Centre for Skills Development
It is in its initial stage, meant to provide vocational skills to the jobless youth to start their own jobs. Currently we are offering computer, Art & Craft and tailoring classes. The children we work with are mainly orphans, isolated and impoverished, and don't attend school due to lack of resources. They are often malnourished, and susceptible to diseases. There are several children who have come through NGS and begin to change their lives. There are a lot more children and schools that need our help but with the limited finances we cannot take on them. We kindly invite you to GHF

Child Mentors
We will allocate a particular child you can help to offer guidance, social, life skills, through correspondence. Donate or collect unwanted items - clothing, shoes, toys and beddings from your community and help to send them to our Care Corner. Dine So They Can;
Volunteer to host a meal or do something like for your friends, on your desired date, entertain and educate your guests about the impact of AIDS and poverty upon the poor children in Uganda and the work of NGS, and ask them to pay for the meal or services to donate the proceeds to support the work of NGS in Uganda. The children we work with are poor and will never receive a gift for Christmas so when you choose to provide a gift you will bring the child into awareness that someone out there love them and care about them. (When you send you donation, we can then buy the gift for you locally)
