Today, be reminded that true strength isn’t the absence of struggle it’s choosing to keep growing, rising, and refusing to give up, even when life gets tough.

As our P2 teacher used to remind us: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

So, keep the fire burning. Keep going, keep growing, and most importantly, stay tender and gentle with yourself. You don’t have to have it all figured out you just have to keep moving forward, one day at a time.

Throw back Thursday

FARUG @ 23; Social Friday….

We brought the energy, Love and Movement together as we celebrated FARUG @ 23

Wellness isn’t a luxury, it’s vital to sustaining our movement and nourishing our minds, bodies, and spirits. At FARUG, holistic wellbeing is at the heart of our movement. In the early month of July, with one of our social Fridays, we hosted a dedicated safe space for our womxn community, where they came together for a powerful day of wellness, connection and celebration. The space provided a safe, grounded counsellor led group therapy session focusing on healing, community care and resilience and followed by a vibrant zumba dance that got the womxn community shaking off stress, boosting energy and celebrating our bodies in joy as we celebrated 23 years of building safe spaces, promoting wellness and championing the rights and dignity of womxn.

Thank you to everyone who joined, shared, and moved with us. Together, we continue to create spaces where LBQ women are seen, heard, and supported.

“What is the point of a revolution if we cannot dance?” Audre Lorde

When we talk about wellness, we often focus on the quiet moments but what about the joy, the sweat, and the movement?

In our newest podcast episode, “What Makes You Dance,” we explore how dance can serve as a powerful, holistic tool for deep emotional healing, collective awareness, and reclaiming body autonomy.

We’re also keeping it real about the full spectrum of adult health and why physical health checkups are just as vital as mental health. Real wellness means meeting ourselves where we are, without judgment.

Today’s Mindful Monday reminder: You may not control everything happening around you, but you always hold the steering wheel of your life. Trust your inner drive, keep the fire burning, and make this week completely YOUR week.

Happy New Month
July was all about self-reflection. Now, August? We’re taking those reflections and turning them into action and hustling even harder.

We thought, we felt, we journaled and now it’s time to move. No more letting all those deep reflections sit in our notes, collecting digital dust.

August is about taking up space, raising the bar, and absolutely refusing to dim our light for anyone’s comfort. We’re resting when we need to, working when it’s time to, and staying completely untamed through it all.

Terikuzikiza.
The fire inside stays lit, the engine stays running, and the vibes stay exquisite.

Today is reminder is simple: it’s okay to pause and reset.

Take a moment to let go of what has been weighing you down. Clear the mental clutter, release the pressure you don’t need to carry, and make space for peace, clarity, and renewed energy.

As you step into the months ahead, choose to move forward unburdened, clear-headed, and glowing. Remember, rest is not falling behind it’s preparing yourself to move ahead with purpose.

Wishing you a peaceful, productive, and joy filled day ahead.

Protect your peace. Sometimes, saying “no” is the best thing you can do for yourself. How long will you keep being the “yes girl”? Set healthy boundaries and see the difference.

Today, say NO to stress, NO to negativity, and NO to having a bad day.

Guard your peace by saying “no” to the external noise.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Bishop Christopher Senyonjo. He was a rare and beautiful soul who didn’t just preach love he lived it every day.

His unwavering support and allyship meant the world to the diverse community, especially during times when we felt most unseen. He showed us the true meaning of grace, sanctuary, and unconditional love.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

May he rest in peace and power. His legacy of compassion, courage, and love will continue to inspire generations to come.

Let’s drop the heavy armor of perfectionism today. You are safe without it. You don’t have to be flawless to deserve peace.

Clear the clutter, let go of the pressure, and ease into the weekend. You are safe to simply be.

Have a dope Friday.
